theraise.live is the live donation dashboard of Mitzvah Opportunity — a WhatsApp-based giving group that helps individuals and families in Israel who need help now. When a raise is running, this site shows the total climbing in real time so members can watch it reach the goal.
Mitzvah Opportunity is run by Donny Fein of Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel. It began in 2017 when he asked a few friends to help a family in need. Today the group has over 1,100 members who have together given more than ₪5 million to families in Israel.
The group and its work have been featured in Mishpacha Magazine, Hamodia, Jewish Money Matters, Torah Anytime, Project Inspire and Gate of Trust.
The main Mitzvah Opportunity website — mitzvahopportunity.com — carries the full story, the FAQ, and the link to join the WhatsApp group. This site (theraise.live) is operated by the same people and exists only to display live totals and to take donations for a raise in progress.
Every case posted to the group is vetted first: references are checked and the recipients are spoken to or met in person. Needs reach the group in three main ways — from people who have been quietly supporting a family themselves and have run short, from local community leaders who have personally verified a need in their kehila, or from a local charitable organisation whose roster family faces an expense it cannot cover.
Mitzvah Opportunity raises only for verified, essential, immediate needs of individuals and families in Israel. It does not run social media campaigns or campaigns on behalf of organisations.
Donations are handled by established payment processors, not by this site. Shekel donations run through Nedarim Plus, the Israeli donation processor used by thousands of Israeli organisations and synagogues. Card donations in US dollars run through Sola (formerly Cardknox). Card details are entered directly into those processors' own secure forms — this site never sees or stores a card number.
Donations are made to an organisation from which a tax receipt can be obtained — Israeli seif 46 or a US 501(c)(3). A receipt is emailed after the donation is made.
If more is raised than the family asked for, Mitzvah Opportunity may direct the excess to a future campaign or to other families in need. This is done following discussion with halachic authorities.
The dashboard shows totals only. It does not publish donor names, donor amounts, or any donor detail. There is no advertising on this site, no tracking for advertising, and nothing here is for sale.
Full detail on what is collected and why is on the privacy page.

For content filter reviewers: theraise.live is operated by Mitzvah Opportunity (mitzvahopportunity.com), the same organisation, for the sole purpose of showing live charity donation totals and accepting donations for the raise in progress. The site carries no advertising, no user-generated content, no images beyond our own branding, no external links other than those on this page, and no media. It is a charity fundraising site serving a religious Jewish community in Israel and abroad. For any question or verification, please email mitzvahopp@gmail.com.
